Ronald Sheldon Obituary
Ronald M. Sheldon, 77, of LaGrange, died peacefully at his home April 28, 2021. He was born June 10, 1943 in Elyria, was a 1963 graduate of Keystone High School and also a graduate of Elyria School of Cosmetology. He served with the US Army from 1965-1967, including time in Vietnam as a Specialist 4th Class. Ron owned and operated Crystal Room Beauty Salon in North Olmsted for the past 48 years. He had been a member of Keystone School Board for 27 years and was instrumental in creating the Keystone Educational Endowment Program (K.E.E.P.). For most of his life, he was a member of LaGrange United Methodist Church, serving on numerous committees. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Reverend Patricia Jo “Patty Jo” (nee Lenhard); sons, Ronald Jason (Denise) Sheldon of Grafton and Aaron Justin (Jessica) Sheldon of Columbus; grandchildren, Thomas, Adam, Sarah and Harry Sheldon; and a sister, Sandra Carter of Elyria. He was preceded in death by a son, Seth Jeremy Sheldon in 2004; siblings, Donna, Patricia and Kenneth; and parents, Donis and Ruth Sheldon. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Seth J. Sheldon Memorial Scholarship Fund, C/O Keystone School Endowment, Community Foundation of Lorain County, 9080 Leavitt Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
