Rose Marie Horner, 86, of Elyria, died April 5, 2020 at the home of her son. She was born April 9, 1933 in Helena, Montana and had lived in Havre, Montana before moving to Elyria in 1953. From 1951-1953, Rose served during the Korean War in the US Army medical field stationed in Japan. She was employed at General Industries for several years and then from 1973-1979 as a school bus driver for the Elyria City Schools. Rose is survived by sons, Dana J. (Terry) Horner of Elyria and David A. Horner, Sr. of Wellington; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Gowan of Universal City, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harold E. Horner in 2005; and a son, Rodney V. Horner in 2018. Private services will be Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria with Reverend Chet Beetler of Christ Church officiating.
