Ruby Lanning (nee Coleman), 63, of Elyria, died June 20, 2020 at her home after a month long illness. She was born June 10, 1957 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria High School. Ruby was employed as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. Ruby is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard L.; daughter, Christina (Patrick) Adams of Mansfield; sons, Richard (Rhonda) Lanning, Jr. of Elyria and Kenneth (Pamela) Lanning III of Lorain; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Andrew (Karen) Coleman and Edward Coleman; and sisters, Marie (Buddy) Stevens and Karen McKinney. She was preceded in death by parents, Arnold and Mary Ruby Coleman and sisters, Sue Hall and Dolly Marie Coleman. Friends will be received Friday, July 3, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. COVID-19 precautions will be observed.
