Ruby Woods Obituary
Ruby Woods (nee Mason), 88, of Elyria, died April 20, 2020 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1932 in Pineville, KY and has been a 60 year resident of Elyria. She had been employed at General Motors Fisher Body, Elyria from where she retired. After retiring, she was a babysitter for several families. Ruby was a member of St. Mary Church, Elyria. She enjoyed attending yard sales, flea markets, and was an excellent cook. Ruby is survived by a daughter, Patty Woods; sons, Daryl (Linda) Woods and Larry (Michele) Woods all of Elyria; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky in 2013; her mother, Effie Lee Shelton and a brother, Ernie Shelton. Friends will be received Thursday April 23, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria where coronavirus guidelines will be practiced. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday April 24, 2020 in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating.
