Russell E. Binggeli, 89, of LaGrange, died March 21, 2016 surrounded by family in his home.Russell was born December 1, 1926 in North Ridgeville, Ohio. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. He was employed in the maintenance department of Ford Motor Company, Brook Park for over 35 years, retiring in 1998. Russell was a longtime member of Church of the Open Door and enjoyed gardening, bowling and watching sports especially the Cleveland Indians on television.He is survived by a daughter, Schontay M (Jeffery) Bowen of LaGrange; son, Russell A. (Darlene) Binggeli of Lorain; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, George Binggeli of North Ridgeville and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruth D. Rollyson in 2015 and several brothers and sisters.Friends will be received Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Wickens officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria where Elyria VFW # 1079 will present military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, P.O.
