Ruth E. Leinard, 96, formerly of Elyria, died October 7, 2012 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida.She was born October 26, 1915 in Cleveland and had lived in Cleveland Heights for 44 years, Chesterland for 37 years and in Elyria from 1996 until moving to Fort Myers in 2003.Ruth was a 1934 graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and a former member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights. Her interests included traveling, knitting, crocheting, sewing, ceramics and her pets.Ruth is survived by daughters Patricia Munderloh (husband Ed) of Fort Myers, Florida and Susan Fowler of Ajo, Arizona; granddaughters Lynda Leedy (husband Steve) and Barbara Munderloh; great grandson Laszlo Leedy and a special friend Dolly Munderloh.She was preceded in death by her husband Charles O. Leinard in 2001; parents Otto and Caroline Schlitt; brother Floyd Schlitt and sisters Gertrude Franklin and Marie Fix.A graveside service will be Monday, October 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Acacia Park Cemetery, Mayfield Heights, OH with Reverend Beth McKee officiating. Dicken Funeral Home, Elyria is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, Utah 84741.
