Ruth E. LooneyRuth E. Looney (nee Chapman), 76, of Elyria died February 5, 2019 in her home. She was born August 9, 1942 in Mabe, Virginia. Ruth was a 1959 graduate of Wellington High School and attended New Hope Apostolic Church in Grafton. Ruth is survived by sons, David (Janey) Looney, Randall Scott Looney and Christopher (Tammy) Looney; grandchildren, David, Kyle, Michael and Nathaniel and her pride and joy, great grandchildren, Averie and Mia; siblings, Ruby Turner, Jackie Johnson, Catherine Hudnell, Carol Meyers, Nancy Best and Ralph, Darrel and Trevor Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty eight years, Avery Looney in 2000; son, Ralph Looney in 1998; grandchildren, Thomas Avery and Randall Scott; sister, Donna McClellan and her parents, Ralph and Mildred Chapman. Friends will be received Saturday February 9, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of a 2:30 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor C. Allen McMillan will officiate.
