Ruth Ann Toots Perozek (nee Krugman), 76, of Elyria, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at EMH Healthcare. She was born September 26, 1935 in Elyria and was a 1953 graduate of Elyria High School. She was employed as an x-ray technician at Elyria Memorial Hospital for 11 years and then for 28 years, at Lorain Community Hospital, retiring in 1992.Toots was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Elyria, where she taught Sunday school for 50 years; sang in the choir; was a youth leader and a member of the board of trustees, womens council and ladies aid. Ruth is survived by cousins, including Deb Schwan, Brad, Joan, Kevin and Amber Smith, all of Elyria; Sarah Jo Smith of Amherst and Sue & Dick Taylor of Kelleys Island.She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles J. in 2000; parents Harry and Annabelle (nee Smith) Krugman and a cousin Dale Schwan in 2008. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. service at St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 West River Rd. N., Elyria, OH 44035 with Reverend James Herbolsheimer officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
