Sally Kay Hudnutt (nee Atkinson), 85, of Elyria, died April 14, 2016 in her home.She was born October 8, 1930 in Lakewood, Ohio and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, with a degree in education.While at Ohio Wesleyan, she met her husband Arthur, moving to Elyria in 1956. She was a member of Ninety-Five Book Club, Elyria Service League, Elyria Country Club, Bent Pine Golf Club and Duck Lake Country Club. She enjoyed the time spent with her longtime friends in Elyria and also those she and her husband made while spending the winters in Vero Beach, FL. Other interests included playing cards in her bridge groups and playing tennis.Sally is survived by a son George D. of Avon Lake; daughters Kathryn H. Allanmeyer and her husband Nol of Carlsbad, CA, Sally A. Williams and her husband Matthew of Ostrander, OH and Lisa Adelsberg and her husband, Thomas of Elyria; grandchildren Jesse, Peggy, Matthew, Rachel, Stephanie, Claire, Melissa and Bill; seven great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Judith Hudnutt of Elyria.She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur D. in 2006; son A. Cooper in 2010 and parents George and Kay Atkinson.A graveside service for the family will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend Kathryn Ketchum will officiate.
