Sandra L. Swart, 74, of Elyria Township, died June 26 2017 in her home. She as born February 7, 1943 in Elyria and was a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. Sandy had been a longtime employee with Elyria City Schools, from where she retired. She was a member of Elyria Eagles and Elyria Elks #465. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with her husband and was a lover of animals. Sandy is survived by sons Michael J. Swart and Kevin A. (Lisa) Swart and grandchildren Alex and Kyle Swart, all of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Arthur F. Swart in 2015; parents John and Dorothy Martin and a sister, Joanne R. Martin. Friends will be received Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
