Sara Cashmir Obituary
Sara B. Cashmir, 74 of Elyria, died November 7, 2013. She was born November 6, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a 1957 graduate of Lincoln High School in Midland, PA. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1961 from Baldwin Wallace College and taught in the Strongsville elementary schools from 1962-1978. She was employed as a toll collector by the Ohio Turnpike Commission from 1978 until retiring in 2000. Sara was a member of Grace Community Church in Grafton and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 118 Amherst and enjoyed flower gardening. She was also a member and past matron of Stone City # 325 O.E.S., Amherst; TRI-AMS Auxiliary of O.E.S. and Grand Representative of Ontario in Ohio. Sara is survived by brothers, Thomas Boyd, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN and Harry Boyd of Port St. Lucie, FL; special friend, Ed Palen and one nephew and one niece.She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Thomas and Helen Boyd, Sr.; nephew, Scott Boyd and best friend, Carol Skaggs.Friends will be received Friday November 15, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Grace Community Church, 12365 Grafton Road, Grafton, Ohio where Stone City # 325 O.E.S. will conduct a service Friday at 6:30 PM. A memorial service will be Saturday November 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Church with Pastor G. Edward Wishart officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
