Sheron L. Schofield (nee White), 78, of Elyria, died June 10, 2016 at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain.She was born November 8, 1937 in Wilmerding, PA. Sheron was a 1955 graduate of Elyria High School and also received an associate degree as a medical assistant from Lorain County Community College.She was formerly employed by John Sheehan, M.D. in Westlake and at Avon Lake American Legion Post 211, where she was an Auxiliary member. Most recently, she was for many years, program and clinic coordinator of the Lorain County Free Clinic. Sheron is survived by daughters, Curran L. (Richard) Krupar, Jr. of Oberlin, Cindy S. Alheit and Christie J. (Kurt) Blair and sons, Thomas A. (Susan) Schofield, Jr. and Kevin W. (Janelle Murray) Schofield, all of Elyria; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a brother, George I. (Gloria) White of Port Charlotte, FL.She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Thomas A. Schofield, Sr. In 1998 and parents, George and Alma White.Friends will be received Friday June 17, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until the time of a 7:00 p.m. memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Rd., Lorain, OH 44053 or Lorain County Free Clinic, 3323 Pearl Ave., Lorain, OH 44055 or American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave. Cleveland, OH 44106.
