Shirley Weaver Obituary
Shirley R. Weaver passed away September 11, 2019 after a long battle with dementia and COPD at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin. She was born November 3, 1937 in Franklin, PA and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for many years before moving to Fort Myers, FL and then retiring in Allhart, TN. Shirley enjoyed camping, horseback riding, bird watching, and singing in the choir at her church, Christ Church Episopal, Rugby, TN. She was an animal lover and will be missed by her beloved dog, Music. Shirley leaves behind her daughter, Debra (Robert) Day of LaGrange; brother, Edward (Jolene) Rumberger; sister, Jean (John) Bailey, both of AZ; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Donald, who passed away August 25, 2017; mother, Ida Rumberger; father, George Rumberger; and a sister, Peggy Ann Parisi. Shirley’s family would like to express their appreciation to her friends, neighbors, and caregivers in TN and Welcome Nursing Home and New Life Hospice for their wonderful care during the final chapter of Shirley’s life. Burial will be private.
