Stephen ‘Larry’ Sanders, 75, of Elyria passed away peacefully after a long illness Thursday, July 1, 2021 at O’Neil Healthcare, North Ridgeville. Larry was born September 11, 1945 in Princeton, Indiana. He worked as an electrician at American Ship Building Company and USS/Kobe Steel Company in Lorain, Ohio. Larry proudly served as a private in the Army National Guard of Indiana before relocating to Ohio. He was an active Christian and faithful member of Glorious Assembly Church in Elyria. He also loved to solve crossword puzzles and going fishing. Larry is survived by his wife Sandra (nee Burnett) Sanders; sons, Jeffrey Lynn Sanders, Richard Allen Sanders, Stephen Larry Sanders Jr.; daughter Tammie Whitten; brothers Barney Sanders, Rodney Sanders and Timothy Sanders (Diane); sisters; Janice Rucker (Jim), Pam Moore (Roger); five grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Rosella Sanders; brothers Charles Sanders (Wanda), Wayne Sanders (Mable) and Thomas Samuel Sanders; sister Joann Fulton (Fred).
