Steven "Stevie" Matthew Charlton's Obituary
Steven Charlton Obituary
It is with a broken heart that I share the passing of Steven “Stevie” Matthew Charlton. Very suddenly, and without warning, Steven passed away from a heart condition on Saturday, November 14, 2020. Steven was the absolute love of his mother and father lives’ from the time he entered the world on May 22, 1992. Steven grew up in Carlisle Township and enjoyed Hot Stove Baseball, Indoor Baseball, County Soccer, AASL Soccer, Premier Soccer, High School Soccer and countless other indoor soccer teams. He was a 2010 Graduate of Midview High School were he played soccer and was an active participant in Ski Club. He was also a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church where he joined in the annual Christmas plays and attended Camp. He most recently owned his own home in Elyria, where the doors were always open to his friends! Steven attended numerous concerts, indulged in tattoo art and enjoyed traveling. One of Steven’s favorite trips was always the “annual” Jamaica trip with his close friends. His last trip though was with his best friend to New Orleans, in which he had an amazing time. Steven was also well known for some of the greatest parties! His last being his annual Halloween party in which he and his bestie dressed up as Ashe and Pikachu from the popular Pokémon series. He was always the life of the party, making everyone laugh. Steven grew to enjoy the feel of the road beneath him and the wind in his face, as his passion for motorcycles developed. Even in sunny November, Steven took advantage of a day to ride with a good friend. Steven was employed by the following organizations: Auntie Anne’s, American Eagle Airlines, Graftech and Momentive, respectively. He was a hard worker and was well liked by those who had the privilege to work with him. Steven was defined by many as their best friend and the glue that held the group together. Steven had the ability to brighten everyone’s day with a joke, a story or as little as a smile. But, he wouldn’t hesitate to tell you to “Tighten it Up”! No one that knew him will ever forget Steven’s beautiful smile and contagious laughter. He meant the world to countless people and left everlasting memories with his friends and family. Steven Charlton will forever live on in the hearts of everyone that knew him. For he was a gracious and pure individual, who cared for his family and friends more than anything else. Besides the astounding number of amazing people in Steven’s friend family, Steven has left behind to honor his memory the following family members: mom, Carrie Charlton (Pippa Sabin) of Carlisle Township; dad, Steve Charlton (Michelle Parron) of Elyria ; brothers, Tyler Charlton of Elyria and Jeffrey Haun of Grafton; sister, Amanda Hopkins of Bellevue; maternal gramma, Linda Grogan of Grafton; maternal grampa, William Clemmons of Elyria; paternal grandparents, Ray and Pat Charlton of Amherst; maternal great grandparents, Leland and Narelle Peden of Elyria; Aunt Sheri Clemmons of Elyria, Uncle Jeffrey Barnes and Aunt Heather of Elyria, Aunt Roxanne Barnes of Norwalk, Aunt Tracy Charlton Keith of Amherst, Aunt Denise Farneski (Mark) of New Jersey, Aunt Shannon Duenas and Uncle Al of Brunswick; many cousins and relatives; his Beagle pup Perseus; and his “Human” Hannah Piatak of Elyria, who he loved with his entire being. Steven joins previous angels, Uncle Jason Barnes, PaPa John Grogan, Grampa Barnes, Gram Barnes, Grandpa Willie Clemmons, Grandma Lillian Clemmons, Grandma Worth and Grandpa Worth. Maybe we can find some comfort in knowing that he is wrapped in their loving arms. Interment will be at Brookdale Cemetery, where everyone is encouraged to attend at a later date. In true Steven fashion, there will be a grand Celebration of Life to be held following the unfortunate consequences Covid 19 has left on the world. We are hopeful that we can look forward to this gathering Summer 2021. This is not goodbye, Stevie Charlton. You live on in the hearts and in the lives of those who knew you during your short time with us. We love you, so much. Thank you for all the love you gave in return. Until we meet again!
