It is with great sadness that we announce Sue Ann Everett, 72, of Elyria passed away in her home December 31, 2019 from complications in her battle with lung cancer. She was born March 13, 1947 to the late Myrtle and Roy Everett, Sr in Lorain, Ohio and lived most of her life in Elyria. Sue was a 1965 graduate of Elyria High School and attended LCCC. She was President of Dynatech, a successful Elyria based diamond saw blade and diamond tool company. Sue was a generous donor to the City of Elyria’s K9 Unit and also to the APL and other local charities. She was a very hard working, caring person who enjoyed spending time in her home and with family. She was passionate about animals, especially dogs. Other interests included casino trips and fishing. Sue is survived by her son, Glenn (Sheri) Mahaffey, Jr.; grandchildren, Chris, Hannah, and Abi Mahaffey and Wes Cortimilia; great-grandchildren, Mackinzie, Brooklyn, and Emma Mahaffey and Savannah Cortimilia; nieces Pat Alcorn and Shelly Dozier; nephews, Mike Ray, Max Hegawalt and Dave Dozier; and former husband and long-time friend, Glenn Mahaffey, Sr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Roy Everett, Jr. and Homer Blackstone and sisters, Mary and Ruth Blackstone.
