Thelma was absolutely the most kindhearted person I've ever known. I cleaned her home for her at Kendal for 11 years and she was always smiling and friendly. Always asked about my family. She could be so silly and giggly. I bet she was a riot in her younger days! My condolences to the family and if I'm ever anywhere remotely close to Garnett, Kansas, I will definitely stop and visit her one last time!
To the loved ones, My prayers and thoughts are with you. Thelma was a kind, gentle soul who loved life and libraries. She was so gracious toward me during my time as Oberlin College Libraries Director. May her life be a lesson for all of us to emulate.
