Thomas Taylor Obituary
Thomas A. Taylor, 73, a lifelong Elyria resident, died peacefully Monday, May 22, 2023 in the loving presence of his wife at their home. He was born August 12, 1949 in Elyria and was a 1968 graduate of Elyria High School. Tom was a union carpenter out of Cleveland Local 435. He was an avid deer hunter, enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, following the Cleveland Indians, building classic cars and was a member of Elyria Eagles #431. He was a kind and generous man who always put others needs before his own. Tom is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sandra K. (nee Buchanan); daughter, Lindsey (Aaron) Varga of Lorain; grandchildren, Everly and Piper Varga; brother, Richard (Susan) Taylor of Kelleys Island and pet cat, Sebastian. He was preceded in death by his son, Cory Taylor; step-son, Matthew Elkins; parents, Richard and Marie (nee Schweda) Taylor and pet dog, Pepper. Friends will be received Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:30 am until the time of 12:30 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Elder Jerry Rader of Elyria Seventh-Day Adventist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
