Thomas C. RoustonThomas C. Rouston, 67, of Elyria, Ohio and formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, died December 23, 2018 at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He was born January 26, 1951 in Detroit. He was an accomplished speed skater and a 1969 graduate of Saginaw High School, where he was a member of the swim team. He worked for 40 years with the railroads, beginning as a laborer and eventually rising to foreman, inspector, track manager, roadmaster and track supervisor, before retiring in 2011. He enjoyed visiting Alaska, hiking, fishing, riding his Harley motorcycle, and caring for and spending time with his granddaughter. He was the recipient of a Liver Transplant in 2015. Tom is survived by his daughter, Sarah Rouston Goulet and granddaughter, Ciara Goulet both of Elyria, Ohio; father, Gerald J. Rouston of Lake Station, MI; brother, Kenneth G. Rouston of Grayling, MI; sister, Jan Rouston Johnson of Homer, Alaska and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline Ann Rouston. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
