Thomas Myers Obituary
Thomas E. Myers, 86, of Elyria, died June 29, 2023 at Keystone Pointe, LaGrange. He was born June 22, 1937 in Moline, IL. He was a 1956 graduate of Elyria High School and enlisted in the Army National Guard. For over 40 years, Tom had been employed at York International as a draftsman/engineer before retiring. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria. Tom was very active in the Boy Scouts, served as leader and district commissioner and earned the Silver Beaver Award. Tom is survived by his son, Steven (Amy) Myers of TX; daughter, Rebecca (James) Ellsworth of LaGrange; grandchildren, Nigel, Elizabeth and Andrew and step grandchildren, Isaac and Victoria. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace in 2016; parents, Ralph and Rubie (nee Bennett) Myers; siblings, Esther and Donald and daughter-in-law, Carol Myers. Friends will be received Friday, July 7, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
