V.C. Price Obituary
V.C. “Jack” Price, 87, of Elyria, died January 26, 2023 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1935 at his home in Lansing, North Carolina. He moved to Ohio at the age of 15 and worked for 8 years at Ridge Plastics in Elyria. From 1958-1960, Jack served with the US Army. He was employed for 30 years by General Motors at Elyria Fisher Guide and Parma General Motors, from where he retired in 1993. After retiring, he repaired sweepers which he gave to those in need and enjoyed babysitting his great-grandchildren. He was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church, having served on the Diaconate and with his wife helped with the lawn care of the church. Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Audrey M. (nee Wallhead); son, Christopher (Karen) Price; daughters, Shelley (Mark) Novak and Peggi Price; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Ken Price and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11:00 am at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 301 Washington Avenue, Elyria. His son, Reverend Christopher Price and Reverend Nathan Russell will officiate. A noon luncheon will follow in the church. Inurnment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria at a later date.
