Venture “Vicki” BlythinVenture “Vicki” Blythin, 96, of Elyria, died April 12, 2019. She was born January 11, 1923 in Tucson, Arizona. While her future husband was in the service they met during WWII at the Presidio in San Francisco. After the war she moved to Elyria and married Edward and was employed at The United States Air Force Office in Cleveland. When Midway Mall opened in Elyria she was employed for fifteen years at Higbee Company. After retiring from Higbee’s she then worked for several years at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Some of her interests included gardening and sewing.Vicki is survived by a daughter, Dianne Page and a son, James L. Blythin both of Elyria; sister, Alice (Jim) Edmonds of Walnut Creek, CA; brothers, Raymond (Helen) Lozano of Castro Valley, CA and Albert (Adele) Lozano of San Leandro, CA; a sister-in-law, Olivia Lozano of Arcata, CA and numerous loving nieces and nephews in California.She was preceded in death by her husband of forty one years, Edward in 1994; parents, Lawrence and Genara Lozano; brothers, Larry, Mike, Edward, Richie and sisters, Mary, Armeda and Elvira.A graveside service for the family will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria with Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
