Viola Kelley Obituary
Viola Kelley (nee: Papp), 87 of Elyria died February 19, 2014. She was born June 28, 1926 in Elyria and was a 1944 graduate of Elyria High School. She was formerly employed at the Laurel Motel, Elyria and Sears Roebuck in downtown Elyria and then as admissions clerk at Elyria Memorial Hospital retiring in 1992. Vi was a member of Church of the Open Door. Through the church she served in many capacities that she felt most served people and the Lord. She was a person who loved her friends and community. Vi is survived by daughters, Linda D. (Ken) Kahle and Susanne A. (Eric) Stephan both of Elyria and grandchildren, Ken Kahle III and Jason and Joshua Stephan.She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Edward E. Kelley in 1998 and sisters, Julia Philion, Elizabeth DeFazio, Margaret Martin and Ethel Papp.Friends will be received Monday February 24, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday February 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Church of the Open Door 43275 Telegraph Road, Elyria. Reverend Robert G. Wickens will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
