Virgie Leona Davitz (nee Pittman), 60 of Elyria, died Friday, January 27, 2012 in her home after a long illness.She was born March 8, 1951 in Seth, WV and has been a resident of Elyria since 1969. She was formerly employed at the former Elyria Holiday Inn; Midway Plaza and Moms Open Kitchen. She enjoyed camping, Crocheting, playing cards, coloring, puzzles and planting flowers.Leona is survived by her husband Robert E. Davitz, Sr. of Elyria; daughter Charlena (Gary) Breeden of Amherst; sons Robert (Dianna) Davitz, Jr. of N. Ridgeville and Donald Williams of Wakeman; stepdaughter Linda Nimon; grandchildren Tiffany, John, Amanda, Robby, Shannon, Travis, D.J., Tommy, Corey and Caoihme; sisters Shirley Phares of Buckhannon, WV, Patricia Dewar of Spencer and Dimples Reddick of Diana, TX and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by an infant son Roger Dale; her father Troy E. Pittman in 1991; mother Garnet L. Lane in 2001 and a brother Troy Kenny Pittman in 1991. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of an 11:30 a.m. funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria.
