Virginia Johnson Obituary
Virginia Maxine Johnson (nee Marks), 94, of Elyria, died, June 22, 2022 at The Woods on French Creek, Avon. She was born March 27, 1928 in Perkins, WV, moving to Elyria in 1946. Maxine’s interests included working in her flower and vegetable garden, watching the hummingbirds in her backyard and following the Cleveland Indians. Maxine is survived by sons, Niles (Pat) Johnson of Elyria and Jeff (Sheila) Johnson of Grafton and a daughter, Penny (Iggy) Csata of Elyria; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty eight years, Niles “Hank” in 2007; parents, Richard and Lulu (nee Moore) Marks; sisters, Lucille, Ernestine and Evelyn and brothers, Harold, Forest, Roland, Ralph, Bobby and Wilbur. Services for the family will be private with Reverend Stacy Terrell officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
