Walter S. Bass, 91, of North Ridgeville, died Sept. 27, 2016.As a Marine, he fought in the Pacific during WWII.Father of Greg and Scott Bass and Debra (Gary) Howell and Cheri and Patrick Erdman from a previous marriage; grandfather of Bryan and Jason Swindell and Ashley Cook. He was preceded in death by wife Nancy J. in 2009, parents Wright and Lessie Bass, brother Darwin and sisters Helen and Betty.Visitation will be Sunday 3 to 6 pm at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. Graveside service is Monday 10:30 a.m. at Lakewood Park Cemetery, Rocky River where Elyria V.F.W #1079 will present military honors.
