Wayne K. Childs, 71, of Elyria, died July 17, 2016.He was born September 24, 1944 in Elyria and was a graduate of Olmsted Falls High School. Wayne was a contractor, heavy equipment operator and operated a lawn service business.Wayne is survived by a daughter Carolyn Childs; sons Kevin (Rachael) Childs and Keith (Tracey) Childs, all of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Cheyenne, Ella, Cody and Hunter; great grandchildren Logan, Gracie and Talon; sisters Mona Burton, Sheila Goddard and Nancy Ailshie and his friend and companion Vena Moore.He was preceded in death by his wife Pamela S. Childs in 2014.Friends will be received Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A service will be Thursday, 10:00 a.m. July 21, 2016 in the funeral home. Reverend Dr. Tom Waldo will officiate.
