William A. Hecker, 70, of North Ridgeville, and formerly of Elyria, died January 24, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic.He was born June 8, 1944 in Madison, WI and was a 1964 graduate of Midview High School. Bill had been an auctioneer for 35 years in Lorain County and was also a realtor with Russell Real Estate Services. He was the owner of William A. Hecker Auctioneer and Realtor and had previously owned and operated Lorain County Office Supply. He was a former member of Elyria Kiwanis Club and had donated his talents as an auctioneer at numerous charitable functions. He enjoyed boating, fishing and working on his home in North Port, FL.Bill is survived by his daughter Tammy M. (Brian) Olah of Elyria; granddaughters Meghan and Brittney Ault and grandsons Griffin and Elijah Olah.He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Rosemary Y. Hecker in 2012 and parents William and Virginia HeckerFriends will be received Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 3 to 7 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Hone and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A service will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend George A. Gribben officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Township Cemetery.
