William Wiggins Obituary
William R. “Bill” Wiggins, 65, of Elyria passed away January 10, 2022 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born January 8, 1957 in Canton, Ohio and has been a 35 year resident of Elyria. He had been an avid racecar fan for 35 years and raced himself for 12 years. Bill earned the title as Lorain County Speedway Track Champion in 1989. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kimberly; sons Jeremie (Gina) Wiggins, William (Shay) Wiggins II; and a daughter Jenni (Mike) Smith; grandchildren, Courtney, Bubba, Chase, Brooke, Emilee, Lily, Josh, Maddie, Gabby, Gracie and William R. III; great-grandchildren, Landen, Alaina, Hadley; and Raelynn and sisters Barbara, Brenda, Patricia, Marlene and Darlene. He was preceded in death by sons, Jason, Joey, Jonathan and Joshua; mother in law Betty Lou Tallman; parents William Wiggins and Betty Jane Campbell; and sisters, Toni and Carol. Friends will be received Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5:00 pm until the time of 7:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Rick Young of Liberty Baptist Church will officiate.
