William Mossbarger Obituary
William E. Mossbarger, 66, of Elyria, died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born June 18, 1954 in Elyria and was a 1972 graduate of Elyria High School. Bill also attended Ohio University and received an associate degree in computer programming from Lorain County Community College. For over 50 years, he and his father, James, were local painting contractors. He was a 50-year member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, had been active with the youth forum, was a church liturgist, and was formerly employed at the church. Bill enjoyed working in his yard, refinishing and repairing old furniture, and following the Cleveland Indians. Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sandi J. (nee Burbliss); step daughter, Carrie Marie (Paul) Pope; step son, Todd Michael (Janice) Denman; grandchildren, Emalee (Michael) Enos and Sofia Denman; great-grandson, Sloan Enos; a sister, Pam Bodnar and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia Mossbarger. Friends will be received Sunday, April 25, 2021 from noon until the time of a 2:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Patrick Nicolino will officiate. Covid-19 precautions will be observed, face masks are required.
