William G. YancerWilliam G. Yancer, Sr., 63, of Elyria, died, in his home May 9, 2018. He was born July 25, 1954 in Elyria and was a 1972 graduate of Elyria High School. Bill was a skilled commercial electrician and was known as a trouble shooter and repair specialist. He was employed over twenty years by Higgins Electric and then other commercial electrical contractors, the most recent being All Tech. He was an MG enthusiast, enjoyed woodworking and was a proud Eagle Scout.Bill is survived by a son, William G. (Amanda) Yancer, Jr., of Elyria; grandson, Zachary Yancer; brothers, Harris R. “Skip” (Debbie) Yancer of LaGrange and Gary D. (Sharon) Yancer of Dublin, OH; sister, Patricia R. (Rick) Lawson of Westlake; several nieces and nephews and his former wife and friend, Nina Skuza of Grafton.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carole; parents, Harris and Regina Yancer and a sister, Carole Yancer.Friends will be received Saturday May 19, 2018 from noon until the time of a 2:00 PM memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
