William J. Workman, Jr., 85, of Brook Park, passed away peacefully at home May 12, 2023. He was born October 24, 1937 in Charleston, WV to the late William “Jennings” Workman, Sr. and Ocie Meadows Workman. From 1957-1960 he proudly served with the US Marine Corps and lived by the motto… “Once a Marine, Always a Marine”. After his time in the military, he went into the automotive industry, retiring in 2007 from Ford Motor Company. In his early years, Bill loved bowling, fishing and turning wrenches. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling in his Ford Mustang with the top down, listening to George Jones CDs, yard work and was a fan of all Cleveland sports. He loved life, was very quick witted, always had a story to tell and could make you laugh. Bill will be deeply missed as he was loved by all. Bill is survived by his children, Jennifer (Darren Hindman) Workman of Brook Park, Crystal Eagerton of Gaston, SC, William J. (Shannon) Workman III of Brook Park and James Hunter of Loganville, GA; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and true love, Regina J. in 2007; daughter, Wendy Michelle Workman; grandsons, Chad Jordan Workman and Aaron Mitchell Eagerton; great-grandson, Connor Murphy Porche’; parents and brothers, James and Kenneth Workman. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
