William Kopis Obituary
William S. Kopis, 86, of Elyria, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice, Westlake. He was born July 8, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio and was a truck driver for 50 years. Bill enjoyed NASCAR, camping and time with his family.
Bill is survived by children, Tamera Kopis, Charles Kopis and Kimberly Munoz; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, John “Doug” Cole; aunts, Norma Stechow and Ginny Tracey and his companion of 24 years, Judith Erwin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kopis in 1997; son, Timothy Kopis in 2021 and a granddaughter, Angelica Szlanfucht in 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
