William Taylor Obituary
William Walter Taylor, 73, of Grafton, died November 28, 2014 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland of injuries received from a fall at his home. He was born October 20, 1941 in Elyria and was a 1961 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. From 1961-1963 Bill served with the U.S. Army stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. Bill was employed as a machinist at LaGrange Screw Products for twenty seven years and then for six years at Melba Manufacturing. He was a life time member of Elyria Elks Lodge # 465, an avid bowler and founder of Junior Bowling at the Elks Club. Bill was past president of the Elyria Bowling Association, EBA Hall of Fame member and a former hot stove coach. For several years he had reported weekly in the Chronicle Telegram for the Elyria Bowling Association, Junior Bowling Leagues. He also enjoyed being connected with family and friends on facebook. Bill is survived by his wife of forty eight years, Judith A. Taylor (nee: Bohn); children, Sean (Jen) Taylor, Angela Taylor, Steven (Kari) Taylor and William Mac (Katie) Taylor; grandchildren, Allison, Nora, Grant, Josh, Charlotte and Mac, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew and his parents, Walter and Emma (nee: Shepherd) Taylor.Friends will be received Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.A mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Ave., Elyria.
