I was sad to see the obituary for Benita in the local paper. My sympathy to her family at this difficult time. I have very fond memories of Benita and Milton many years ago when they took a chair caning class from the Extension Service. They were planning to re-cane some chairs for Hotel Lakeside and wanted to learn how. We also set up a class at the church in Lakeside to offer the skills to others who wanted to learn to cane. Benita was so kind and giving to her community in so many ways. when she saw a need, she was there to help. She always had a friendly smile and she invited me to her home there in Lakeside on various occasions. I will keep these fond memories of a gracious lady close to my heart. What a wonderfully full life she shared! I just lost my mother in January and I didn't realize how close in age (about 1 year apart-both with January birthdays) they were. Again my deepest sympathy. May God be with you at this difficult time.
