Carol Thibo-HolcombCarol Thibo-Holcomb, 69, of Cleveland died November 3, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born July 10, 1949 in Lakewood, Ohio and was a 1967 graduate of Avon High School. For the past seven years she has been a resident of Cleveland after living most of her life in Lorain County. Carol was a long time minister working with many churches, sharing her faith, helping others and traveling on mission trips to Brazil, Mexico and India. She was formerly employed at York International where she was a union representative. She had also been a real estate agent with Russell Realty and Remax. Throughout her out her life she was a seamstress, making pillows, stuffed animals and praise flags. Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy. She also enjoyed time with family, friends and going to the movies. Carol was the beloved mother of Shelly (Dale) Golak. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Christine Holcomb; grandchildren, Jordan, Kendra and Bailey; step-granddaughter, Chellssie; two step-great grandchildren and her brother, Gary (Joyce) Thibo. She was preceded in death by her husband, “Bud” Holcomb and parents, Jim and Jan Thibo. Friends will be received Friday November 9, 2018 from 9:30 AM until the time of an11:00 AM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Chris LaLonde and Reverend Shawn Cleveland will officiate. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Holy Family Hospice, 6707 State Road, Parma, OH 44134.
