Leigh and Linda, My Dad, Douglas Wallace, Sr. and your mother were first cousins. My brother Doug Jr. and I visited with your parents several years ago when they were still living in their home in Elyria. What a lovely time we had with them. I was working on the family history of the Wallace family at the time. Your mother and dad were a treasure trove of information that they so generously shared with me. They were truly wonderful, interesting people. The last time I saw your dad was at your mother's funeral. Sadly, I lost track of him after your mother passed away. I have know Gerald for about 10 years. I would often visit his 2nd cousin--my Mother--Helen Stilgenbauer, at the Wesleyan Village, and sometimes he would have lunch with us. Several cousins and Gerald held genealogy meetings and exchanged information. I remember him walking the halls of the Village, saying he wanted to stay in shape. He showed me ancestors' photos and the woodworking that he had done. I will miss him!

Dear Kindle Family: Gerald was my Dad's first cousin. I only got to know him in the last few years. He was always fun to visit, and he always asked me if I wouldn't want to move to Ohio. I will miss seeing him on my visits to Ohio. He seemed to enjoy life and all his hobbies.

Hello, We got to meet Gerald several years ago and tried to visit with him every time we came north to visit with our Aunt and cousins. Gerald was my Dad's cousin and he was able to tell us stories and memories he had visiting my Dad's family home even as it was being built. We enjoyed his energy and memories very much. Always will remember him dancing with our Aunt on her 90th birthday party, she in her wheelchair and he doing the 2 step around her. I am sorry we never got to meet but will always remember him and his stories.
