Nora was my best friend in middle school and high school, and I appreciated how welcome I always felt in your home and how comfortable it felt to call Gerry "mom". She was also my Sunday school teacher in 1st grade. I have rarely visited Ohio since moving to Oregon in 1999, but I was happy to see Gerry at my baby shower in 2008, as she was on the short list of people who touched my life in a lasting way.
Dear Blomgren family, I was blessed to know Gerry for about 5 years as her housekeeper at Kendal. I always enjoyed chatting with her and she always made me laugh! A very kind person who will be very much missed.
Dear George, We were deeply saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. Please know that you and Gerry are in our prayers. She was a great lady and neighbor. Jae, Linas, and Alec Jokubaitis, your neighbors on Clarence Ave.
Gerry's enthusiastic approach to life, and her leadership and competence, were an inspiration to many. She will live on through her many contributions of time and service to Unitarian Universalist congregations and other organizations. Her like is not seen often. We were honored to know her.
Mrs.Blomgren- I have known you and been best friends with your son since I was 18 and I always regarded you like second mother. You and your husband were always kind and interesting, treated me well and always picked up the tab for dinner. Thank you for the memories - I will not forget you.

Tom and I always enjoyed Gerry's enthusiasm, both through Franklin School PTA and later when we were volunteers with the Friends of the Lakewood Library and Gerry and George were frequent patrons to our sales. And, we were practically neighbors! A life well spent.
Dear George and Family, Please accept our sympathy for your loss. We hope your memories will help you through this trying time. I only met Gerry a few times, and they were happy occasions.
