I have nothing but fond memories of working with "Hank" at the 164th Airlift Squadron in Mansfield, Ohio. He simply was one of the finest men I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I am sad to see he has left this life much too early. Vicky, I remember meeting you once long ago at a squadron event. You were blessed to have spent 41 years with such a good man. My heart goes out to you. May you find solace in your many memories and know that you were blessed to have shared your life with such a wonderful man.

I'm am so saddened and shocked to hear of Gerry's death. Hank, as we all called him at the Squadron, was an awesome person in every way possible. He embodied the professional pilot and also incredible friend to all of us! He was fun to be around always a super worker and a great mentor to our young crew members. I flew with him on a special mission that we both enjoyed and remembered as it was a little bit secret, what we were doing out there over the ocean. He will be missed by many and it is impossible to say I know how hard it is for his family as no one knows each individuals personal pain and sorrow. I can say that we all care and hope that you can have some comfort in knowing he was loved and cherished by many of us at the 164 AS.
