My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved mother. I will always have fond memories as a student cafeteria worker at E.H.S. when Helen and my Aunt Betty always greeted us with a smile and encouraging word. Growing up at the Magyar United Church of Christ left a lasting impression and friendship with Helen. In recent years as I was visiting my Dad at Abbewood I had the pleasure of seeing Helen. We caught up on families and I shared with her about my much worn Hungarian Cookbook. Several visits later Helen surprised me with a brand new cookbook and a beautifully crocheted rainbow potholder. It hangs in my kitchen today. She was so thoughtful to my parents, too, remembering their birthdays with cards. May you find comfort knowing that Helen touched the hearts of those who knew her and that the cherished memories of a kind and thoughtful lady will not fade.
Steve and Ken, I always enjoyed talking with your Mom. She was a lovely lady and I'll miss her stories of her childhood adventures with my Mom. She is in our hearts and prayers. Don Peters
My deepest sympathy for your loss. I have many fond memories of your mom during my high school years as she and my Aunt Betty always greeted the student cafeteria workers with a smile and encouraging word. She and the Lengel family were such familiar faces during those "growing up years" at the Magyar Church of Christ. I had the pleasure of seeing Helen at Abbewood when I visited my Dad and we shared stories, one of which was about my much used and worn Hungarian cookbook. The next visit she greeted me with a brand new cookbook and a beautiful crocheted rainbow potholder which hangs in my kitchen now. Cherish your memories of her and please know that she touched the hearts and lives of many with her kindness.
Helen was always such a sweet and caring woman when it came to her family and friends. She was so proud of all of her children and grandchildren. May she be at peace with her loving husband, Steve. We will surely miss your kind words and thoughts, as well as your loving embrace. We'll miss your smile and your love.
I was so very sorry to hear of Helen's passing but I know God was waiting for her with wide open arms. Helen was a wonderful, smiling woman. She had a huge heart and loved her church very much. She will be deeply missed by her entire church and by many church friends. She served so faithfully there for so many years. I will remember Helen as the sweetest ever crocheting csiga noodle making Hungarian ;) God bless you Helen. I know that you are resting in the arms of Christ. God bless your family and all who will be present to see you off. I am so grateful to Rev. Gross for being there for you all, and so saddened that, because of my illness, I will not be able to share with you the celebration of Helen's life. God bless you all. With You in Prayer, Pastor Alana
