Cindy, Jay and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Although we have not stayed in touch over the years I want you to know that Jack, (Mr. Martin), Jay and your entire family were an important part of my life growing up in Elyria. I continue to rely on the values from scouting in both my personal and professional life. I am praying for all of you in this difficult time. Rob
I have nothing but good memories of my early days in scouting when Jack was scoutmaster of Troop 133. Although at age 12 I couldn't possibly appreciate everything that Jack did as a scoutmaster to help nudge me any my fellow scouts towards maturity, self-sufficiency and independence I am grateful for the environment he created in the troop to help shape us into better people. I am just one of many lives he touched through scouting and I am thankful to have known him. My sincere condolences to Cindy, Jay, Jenny and all. -Michael Ursem
