I have such fond memories of Mrs. Vandemark from McKinley Elementary. She was always a smiling face that we could go to for comfort. She was happy to help us with everything from skinned knees, band-aids, and ice packs to permission slips and trips to see the principal. :) She will live on in the memories of the many students whose lives she touched with kindness.

Marilyn and I were classmates from kindergarten at McKinley through graduation from EHS in 1955. I have always had the greatest admiration for her and respect for the too-rare times our paths crossed in the years since. I'll miss seeing her. Sincere sympathy to Jim and the family.
