Patricia Sue (nee Shroyer) Keressi, 75, of Elyria, loving mother of four and adoring wife to her husband of 56 years, Paul, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Tuesday, July 12, 2022 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Patricia “Pat” was born November 15, 1946 in Elyria and grew up in Grafton. After graduating from Midview High School in 1964, she would go on to become a cherished fixture for students and families of Midview Schools during her time as a bus driver for over 30 years. Besides spending time with her grandchildren, Pat enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafts, picnics with her family, camping, her work as a 4-H advisor, and attending the Lorain County Fair each and every year. Pat is survived by her husband, Paul; mother-in-law, Adelle; children, Michelle Abbe (David), Jennifer Sedlak, Michael Keressi, and Jason Keressi (Becky); grandchildren, Kylie (Nic), Morgan, Courtney (Nate), Hannah (Ross), Corynn, Samantha and Jared; a great grandson, Henry; brothers, Herb, Tim, and Clayton; a sister Cindy and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gerald and Helen Shroyer. Friends will be received Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Reverend W. Kent Joy officiating. Burial will follow in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township (Durkee Rd. and Butternut Ridge Rd.) immediately followed by a memorial luncheon for friends and family.
